I am an economist and a member of Chatham House. Throughout most of my life I was working world-wide as a management consultant for large global companies. I have also lectured on Business Sustainability at postgraduate courses at the University of London and Universities in Central Europe and wrote many articles on that subject.
In 1994, I founded SUSTENSIS, a Management Consultancy focusing on Business Sustainability, which tried to answer the question: “How can companies survive for ever?”, obviously not literally. During that time, I have been helped by over 50 partners. Apart from setting up Sustensis, I also co-founded in 2004 – Symbiosa Ltd – a financial sector research company.
Over the last 15 years I have been immersed in an entirely new domain – Artificial Intelligence. Since then, I have gradually adapted the Sustensis metaphor to a global context: “How can Humanity survive for ever?” My wide range of interests, in politics, technology, futurism, science and culture, gave me the necessary insight into exploring complex subjects discussed in my books: “Who could save Humanity from Superintelligence?” and in the POSTHUMANS trilogy: “Federate to Survive!!, “Democracy for a Human Federation – Coexisting with Superintelligence” and the most recent one “Becoming a Butterfly” (Extinction or Evolution? Will Humans Survive Beyond 2050?”
The books’ agenda for Humanity’s Transition to its Coexistence with Superintelligence is supported by Sustensis website https://www.sustensis.co.uk. Its main purpose is to serve as a kind of a Think Tank that expands the ideas explored in the books and continuously update them as the world around us changes at almost an exponential pace. That’s why I would like to invite experts in the related domains covered there to join me in making that website as factually correct as possible. We need to ensure that the evolving Superintelligence becomes our friend rather than foe.
Recently, Sustensis has split its content into two websites. The prime one – Sustensis – https://www.sustensis.co.uk is totally dedicated to Transhumanism. Euro Agora subsidiary website https://www.euro-agora.sustensis.co.uk is focused on a deep reform of democracy essential to enable a peaceful transition to co-existence with Superintelligence. Finally Consensus AI – https://consensus-ai.sustensis.co.uk is dedicated to supporting more conciliatory and effective debates not just in politics but also in commercial organizations.
